The Clinician in the Children’s Outpatient Mental Health Program is responsible for providing high-quality, trauma-informed, and culturally responsive therapeutic services to clients and their families. The clinician will deliver individual, group, and family therapy within a clinical setting, maintain all required documentation in compliance with OMH and agency standards, and collaborate with internal teams, schools, and external partners to ensure coordinated care and optimal outcomes. This role follows a 12PM - 8PM schedule.
Primary Responsibilities and Essential Functions of Position:
Conduct comprehensive intake assessments and diagnostic evaluations for children and adolescents.
Develop, implement, and update treatment plans based on client needs and in alignment with OMH regulations.
Provide ongoing individual, group, and family psychotherapy using evidence-based practices.
Maintain accurate, timely, and complete documentation of clinical services in the electronic health record (EHR).
Engage parents and caregivers in the treatment process through regular communication and psychoeducation.
Participate in multidisciplinary case reviews, supervision, team meetings, and professional development trainings.
Coordinate care with school staff, external providers, case managers, and referral sources.
Monitor client progress and adjust treatment strategies as needed to achieve measurable outcomes.
Support interns and junior staff as needed under supervision guidelines.
Licensed in New York State as an LMSW, LCSW
Minimum of two years of experience providing mental health services to clients and families.
Bilingual (Spanish - English).
Strong clinical skills and trauma-informed care.
Proficiency in using electronic health records and meeting documentation requirements.
Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively across multidisciplinary teams and engage families from diverse backgrounds.
