The Riverside University Health System – Behavioral Health Department is currently recruiting for a Bilingual Clinical Therapist I/II to join the Adult Clinic at its Temecula location.
The Bilingual Clinical Therapist I/II provides short-term, goal-oriented clinical services to adults ages 18–59 with severe mental illness (SMI), including individuals with complex behavioral health needs. Responsibilities include conducting timely, clinically appropriate assessments and risk evaluations, completing documentation and treatment planning, and collaborating closely with providers and a multidisciplinary team. Additionally, the bilingual Clinical Therapist I/II will manage a structured caseload while meeting productivity and documentation standards.
Success in this position requires experience working with complex behavioral health presentations, strong clinical judgment in assessing and responding to risk, and the ability to engage members in a recovery-oriented, trauma-informed manner that supports stabilization and long-term wellness.
Candidates must meet the bilingual speaking requirement (English/Spanish).
This recruitment is eligible for a 10% DTR differential that is applied to hours worked. At any time, this differential can be removed.
9/80 Schedule: Monday - Thursday 8:00 AM - 5:30 PM and alternate Friday

Salary Range: $31.91 - $46.08 Hourly

Education: Possession of a Master's degree from an accredited college or university in clinical or counseling psychology, social work, marriage and family therapy, or a closely related behavioral science field.
Certificate: Clinical Therapist I must have possession of a valid certificate of registration as an Associate Clinical Social Worker, Associate Marriage and Family Therapist, or Associate Professional Clinical Counselor issued by the California State Board of Behavioral Sciences.
Clinical Therapist II must have possession of a valid certificate of registration as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, or Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor issued by the California State Board of Behavioral Sciences.
License/Certificate: Possession of a valid California Driver’s License may be required.
Possession of valid Basic Life Support (BLS) certificates issued by the American Heart Association may be required.
The Human Resources Department will coordinate a Bilingual (Spanish) Non-Proctored Assessment.
The position primarily involves sedentary office and clinical work, with occasional standing and walking throughout the clinic. It may also require the occasional lifting, carrying, or moving of light office materials and supplies.
