The Bilingual Claims Specialist serves as Volkswagen Group Canada’s subject matter expert for Small Claims Court actions, CAMVAP arbitrations, and customer dispute resolution across both common law and civil law jurisdictions.

Supporting both Volkswagen and Audi brands, this role focuses on early resolution, advocacy at hearings, and cross functional coordination in a primarily remote environment.

Key Responsibilities

Claims & Dispute Management
• Review and respond to customer demand letters
• Defend and represent Volkswagen Canada and Audi Canada in Small Claims Court and CAMVAP matters (virtual or in‑person).
• Collaborate with Customer Relations to foster early, customer‑centric resolution of customer complaints.

Stakeholder Coordination & Reporting
• Liaise with dealers, field staff, and internal teams to review and respond to customer complaints.
• Coordinate regular alignment meetings between Legal and Customer Relations.
• Prepare monthly management reporting.

Legal Support & Research
• Provide timely risk‑based legal guidance.
• Conduct legal and jurisdictional research.
• Prepare witnesses for hearings and assist with departmental reporting.
• Support Service Capacity Planning aligned with Business Development strategies, supporting short-, and long term requirements, including both physical and human capacities

Qualifications

Formal Education:

  • Associate Degree / College Degree
  • Licensed Paralegal in good standing with a Canadian Law Society

Experience:

  • 5+ years of litigation experience

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Licensed Paralegal in good standing with a Canadian Law Society
  • Fully bilingual in English and French.
  • Strong advocacy and hearing representation experience.
  • Knowledge of Small Claims Court rules and CAMVAP.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage a high volume of files independently.
  • Asset: Automotive sector experience.

Work Flexibility:

  • This position is Hybrid
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and be willing to travel up to 50% throughout Canada

Salary range is dependent on factors such as industry-based experience, skills, training, credentials, and other qualifications. The salary range for this role is $115,000-$126,000, actual pay may vary based on experience, education, and internal compensation practices.
