Position has day to day management and operational responsibilities for a neighborhood or community center; including planning, budgeting, program management, program application approval, community outreach, advisory and parent committee development, staff selection, training and evaluation.



Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in social or behavioral science or related field required. Graduate degree in social behavioral science preferred. Five years of human service delivery, including at least two years of family or child development experience and at least two years management and supervision are required. Multi-cultural experience in a service delivery highly desirable.

Bilingual English/Spanish required in communities with a high concentration of Hispanic families.

Community Action Council for Lexington-Fayette, Bourbon, Harrison, and Nicholas Counties, Inc. works to address the causes and conditions of poverty locally.

As the designated community action agency for Lexington-Fayette, Bourbon, Harrison and Nicholas counties, we create opportunities for individuals and families that assist them in becoming self-sufficient. To that end, the Council focuses its resources on child and youth development, family development (including social and economic self-sufficiency), employment strategies, health, transportation, safety net (emergency) services, housing services, economic development, technology, and volunteerism.
