Job Description

To ensure safe, timely, and confidential transportation of medical documents, lab samples, medications, and other essential items between clinics, laboratories, pharmacies, and healthcare facilities.

• Collect the blood sample box from the medical centers along with the register book.

• Diligently bring it to the laboratory and hand it over to the office boy who will collect it from you.

• Ensure you drive safer so that the sample box does not shake and is in a good condition while collecting it from each center.

• The above should be done on all day as per the timings assigned to you.

• Conducts established safety and operational inspection of assigned vehicle daily.

• Deliver important documents, Passports, Uniforms, parcels, claim form, to respective clinics and corporate office.

• Ensure deliveries have been signed and delivered to the correct recipient.

• Ensure vehicle is kept clean, tidy and in good working condition always.

• Ensure vehicle is given regular/day-to-day maintenance checks, oil change, water, battery, brakes and tyres etc.

• Ensure safe driving practises and high standards of service to employees.

• Maintains current required licenses and certificates.

• Notifies appropriate individuals of any delays in scheduled route.

• Assists with other routes when breakdown or other unusual circumstances occur as assigned.

• Weekly once you must collect all the lab requirement from the Clinic General Store and deliver it at the clinic.

Occupational Safety and Health Management Systems

• Comply with reasonable OSH instructions, policies and safe working procedures

• Use of appropriate personal protective equipment and safety systems.

• Be familiar with emergency and evacuation procedures

• Not willfully or recklessly endanger anyone’s health and safety

• Assist with the preparation of risk assessments

• Report OSH Hazards, incidents, Near misses and issues

• Reduce, Reuse, Recycling of waste as much as possible

• Attend all OSH Trainings, awareness programs and mock drills.

• Participates in the OSHMS audits, inspections, ensuring standards are maintained

Infection Prevention and Control:

• IPC is everyone’s responsibility. All staff are required to read and implement the NMC IPC Policy and Strategy in an effort to maintain the highest possible standards of cleanliness at all times, thus reducing the risk of infection in patients, staff and visitors.

The strictest hand hygiene, 5 moments of hand hygiene, bare below the elbows and environmental care, will be expected of all staff, including the post holder, at all times

• High school diploma or equivalent (preferred).

• Valid UAE motorcycle license (or relevant local license).

• Proven experience as a bike messenger or delivery rider, preferably in a healthcare or medical setting.

• Good knowledge of local routes and traffic regulations.
