Job Description

Kick off your summer surrounded by sunshine, adventure, and the beautiful trails of Sunriver! Join our team as a Bike Barn Attendant and help guests gear up for unforgettable outdoor experiences.

The Bike Barn Attendant is responsible for performing all daily tasks associated with operating the Bike Barn rental business while providing guests with exceptional service. The Bike Barn Attendant will assist in maintaining the AAA Four Diamond Standards.

The Bike Barn Attendant will always conduct themselves in manner which supports the Core Values of Sunriver Resort: Trust, Commitment, & Open and Honest Communication. They shall strive to provide exceptional service to both internal and external guests at all times and for exemplifying the Sunriver Resort Culture as well as promoting Sunriver Resort as both the Destination and Employer of Choice!

Responsibilities

  • Greets and welcomes guests upon arrival
  • Informs guests of safe handling of bikes
  • Receives payments from guests
  • Uses cash register machine to ring guests up
  • Distributes appropriate change
  • Maintains strong knowledge of Bike Barn merchandise products and pricing
  • Responsible for answering guest questions regarding merchandise
  • Counts money in cash drawers at the beginning of shift to ensure the amounts are correct and there is adequate change
  • Assists with Bike Barn and Recreational programs as needed
  • Answers Bike Barn phone line and directs calls appropriately
  • Opens and closes the Bike Barn register as designated by shift
  • Ensures merchandise and store remains neat and tidy throughout shift, cleaning often
  • Promotes the sale of rentals, programs, and merchandise
  • Maintains a strong knowledge of Bike Barn surroundings and bike trip options
  • Assists with maintaining rental bike fleet
  • Informs guests of safety issues with using Bike Barn facilities
  • Up sells other resort services and amenities to guests
  • Provides general resort information to guests
  • Interacts with resort staff in a professional manner, assisting other departments with necessary information

Qualifications

  • High school education preferred
  • One year of customer service experience preferred
  • Prior hospitality experience preferred

JOB REQUIRMENTS:

  • Must be able to work well under pressure
  • Must be able to accurately follow instructions, both verbally and written
  • Must possesses excellent communication skills
  • Must always ensure a teamwork environment
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule that may include evenings, weekends and holidays
  • Must have a passion for creating an exceptional experience for all guests

WORKING CONDITIONS:

  • While primarily an indoor job, must be able to work outside on occasion in a variety of weather conditions (rain, wind, cold, heat & sun);
  • Must be able to frequently lift, push, pull & carry up to 30 lbs and occasionally up to 50 lbs.
  • Must be able to bend, squat, crawl, kneel & twist on an frequent basis,
