The Inn at Stonecliffe is seeking a service-driven Bike Attendant to join our team for the season. This role is at the front line of the guest experience, helping guests explore Mackinac Island while representing the energy and hospitality of the property. JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead daily bicycle rental operations, including guest check-out, return, and orientation
  • Ensure all bikes are clean, safe, and properly maintained at all times
  • Perform basic adjustments such as tire pressure, seat height, and minor repairs
  • Provide guests with clear directions, route recommendations, and safety guidance
  • Create a welcoming guest experience from arrival through departure, handling questions and resolving concerns with confidence
  • Process transactions accurately through the POS system for bike rentals and retail purchases
  • Support General Store operations by assisting guests, preparing simple food and beverages, and maintaining presentation standards
  • Receive and stock merchandise, monitor inventory levels, and maintain organized storage areas
  • Assist with opening and closing procedures, including cleaning, restocking, and setup
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization across all work areas in compliance with health and safety standards
  • Uphold professional appearance and represent the property with a positive, team-oriented attitude

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • High school diploma or equivalent (GED) preferred
  • Additional training in retail, customer service, or sales is a plus but not required

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

High school diploma or equivalent preferred

Previous hospitality, retail, or customer service experience is a plus

Strong communication and guest service skills

Comfortable working in a fast-paced, outdoor environment

Ability to multitask and transition between responsibilities

Basic mechanical awareness is helpful but not required

Ability to stand for extended periods and lift moderate weight

Flexible schedule including weekends and holidays
