BAM UK & Ireland is recruiting a Bid Writer – Private Sector to join our FM segment of the business and be supporting our continued growth across the private sector. You will produce compelling, high-quality proposals and tender submissions that demonstrate BAM FM's integrated Facilities Management capabilities. This role can be based out of any of our UK office locations and will be hybrid working. You would be required to travel UK wide as and when required.

Making Possible

Working closely with Business Development, Operations, Commercial and Bid Management teams, you will translate technical information into persuasive, customer-focused content that supports successful business outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop high-quality written responses for private sector FM tenders, proposals and client submissions.
• Produce executive summaries, method statements, case studies and tailored service solutions.
• Prepare professional client presentations and interview materials.
• Work with operational and technical specialists to gather information and develop compelling content.
• Develop clear win themes, value propositions and differentiators.
• Write responses covering Hard FM, Soft FM and integrated service delivery.
• Support sustainability, innovation, mobilisation and social value responses.
• Review and edit submissions to ensure quality, consistency and compliance with client requirements.
• Manage multiple writing deadlines and support bid planning activities.
• Maintain and improve the bid content library.

What do you bring to the role?

You will be a confident, creative and commercially aware writer who takes pride in producing compelling, customer-focused proposals. You will also enjoy working collaboratively, challenging standard responses and finding innovative ways to communicate BAM FM's strengths.

• Proven bid writing experience within Facilities Management or a related outsourced services environment.
• Experience producing private sector tender submissions.
• Strong understanding of Hard and Soft FM services.
• Excellent writing, editing and proofreading skills.
• Ability to translate complex technical information into clear, persuasive responses.
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work collaboratively and meet challenging deadlines.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

Desirable Experience

• APMP qualification or equivalent.
• Experience supporting integrated, multi-service FM tenders.
• Experience developing client presentations.
• Knowledge of commercial property, corporate and industrial markets.
