At FBNZ, you’ll be part of a team that sets the pace for the industry, driving change and shaping the future of how our customers work. If you thrive on solving problems, pushing boundaries, and making an impact, this is the place for you.

About the role

We’re looking for an experienced Writer to lead the end-to-end development and delivery of high quality, compelling bid and proposal responses for FBNZ and our sister brand, CodeBlue.

You’re a storyteller at heart with the ability to craft compelling narratives that resonate with a target audience. This role plays a critical part in our growth strategy and you’re just as hungry for the win as the sale team!

You will manage multiple concurrent bids, ensuring all submissions are strategically positioned, compliant, and delivered to the highest standards within tight deadlines. You will also manage our bid and proposal library and continuously improve our bid processes and templates.

You may have been in a more generalist marketing content writing role with some exposure to bids and proposals, and you’re now ready to further explore that side of B2B content marketing. This is your opportunity!

Reporting to the Content Marketing & Brand Strategy Manager, you’ll also have the opportunity to assist with developing, writing and editing a variety of other types of content, including sales collateral, case studies, and brochures.

Responsibilities include:

  • Lead the end-to-end development and delivery of of FBNZ and CodeBlue bids and proposals, ensuring all are customer-focused, clear, persuasive, on-brand, meet the critical components of the decision-making criteria, and compliant with requirements and deadlines.
  • Engage the appropriate resources from across the business and project manage all relevant stakeholders to ensure required information and contributions are delivered within agreed timeframes.
  • Monitor key websites (e.g. GETS) for announcements of new tenders and ensure search terms are kept up to date.
  • Manage all bid and proposal documents, including version control, compilation, and user control.
  • Maintain our library of bid and proposal content.
  • Work with the Design Studio Team to develop bid and proposal presentations when required.
  • Maintain a database of all submissions and provide a monthly report on success rates, identifying trends, insights and recommendations for improvement.

About you

We’re looking for someone with a minimum of three years’ experience developing bids and proposals or writing marketing content in a B2B context. You bring a customer-first mindset, you’re naturally collaborative, and you like to win. You’re confident, resilient, calm under pressure, and you thrive on managing multiple demands and conflicting priorities. In addition to this, you have:

  • Exceptional writing and editing skills.
  • Well-developed, fast, and accurate proofreading skills.
  • Exceptional attention to detail.
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Highly organised with outstanding time management skills and a proven ability to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines.

  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate and synthesise input from multiple stakeholders.

  • Comfortable building effective working relationships with people at all levels of an organisation.

  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.

Benefits

  • Superannuation contributions (on top of KiwiSaver!)
  • Fully funded Southern Cross Health Insurance (Regular Care for you and your family)
  • Annual Health & Wellbeing Subsidy
  • Generous Long Service Awards
  • Birthday Leave and other special leave days

This is a fantastic opportunity to join one of the world’s leading technology companies. If you’re ready to make an impact and believe you're the right person for this role, apply online today. Applications will remain open until the position is filled.
