Bid Manager | Life Sciences

Fantastic opportunity for a Bid Manager to join an international and reputable organisation who are going through continued growth in Ireland.

This is a key hire for the business and the role will lead the sales function and support the team in its business development initiatives.

The Role:

• Lead, coach and support the business development team
• Work closely with technical experts and wider business teams to produce compelling bids
• Drive the commercial aspects of the bids, including the development of pricing strategies for projects
• Leverage CRM tools to develop integrated pipeline and reporting views
• Build business development plans and customer relationship mapping
• Manage sales funnel and ensure there is enough pipeline of enquiries required for projects to deliver against expectation
• Provide industry knowledge and training as required to the wider sales team
• Support the review, assessment and response to Request for Proposals
• Manage tender pipeline and identify resources required to undertake bid preparation and delivery
• Support the presentation of opportunities throughout the bid process
• Collaborate and manage opportunities from bid process through to project handover to project management
• Work with the wider teams to support and lead the sales strategy for the business

The Person:

• 3+ years of experience in a similar role
• Ability to develop strategies in line with organisational goals
• Proven technical writing experience
• Commercially astute with a real desire to exceed targets
• Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment to meet deadlines
• Communicate effectively across all levels of a business and influence senior stakeholders
• Excellent presentation skills
• Ability to articulate complex concepts simply and effectively
