You'll play a pivotal role in shaping competitive and financially sound proposals, ensuring the success of our bids and projects. Day-to-day, you’ll work closely with teams across the business (engineering, procurement, industrial, and finance), lead cost estimation activities, and much more.

You’ll specifically take care of defining cost structures and consolidating cost inputs, but also lead cost improvement initiatives to enhance the competitiveness of our offers.

We’ll look to you for:

  • Preparing preliminary cost estimations during the pre-tender phase, leveraging product cost databases and lessons learned.

  • Supporting the Bid Manager in developing the Instruction for Quotation (IFQ) aligned with the pricing strategy.

  • Defining the cost structure of bids in line with RFP requirements and internal sales strategies.

  • Leading cost estimation activities across various contributing teams, such as engineering, industrial, and procurement.

  • Collaborating with the Finance Tender Manager to optimize financial costs, including financing, insurance, taxes, and hedging.

  • Ensuring robustness and consistency of cost estimations and preparing costing packages for Tender Review Meetings (TRM).

All about you

We value passion and attitude over experience. That’s why we don’t expect you to have every single skill. Instead, we’ve listed some that we think will help you succeed and grow in this role:

  • Degree in Engineering or Business.

  • Experience or understanding of cost estimation, product costing, or tender preparation in an industrial environment.

  • Knowledge of engineering, manufacturing, and industrial processes.

  • Familiarity with cost models, value analysis, and product cost structures.

  • A certification in cost engineering or cost management is preferred.

  • Strong analytical and numerical skills.

  • Good communication and presentation skills, with the ability to work in cross-functional and multicultural teams.

  • Proactive, solution-oriented mindset with strong organizational skills.
