What this job involves:

As a BI Team Manager at JLL, you'll lead the day-to-day operations of a dedicated sub-team within our Business Intelligence Centre of Excellence—approximately 15 talented BI professionals delivering governed, high-quality analytics solutions at scale to JLL stakeholders and external clients. You'll act as a tactical lead who bridges strategy and execution—translating complex requirements into practical solutions, identifying operational risks, and collaborating across Account Analytics, Advanced Analytics, Data Engineering, and platform teams to deliver the complete BI solution lifecycle from discovery through deployment and ongoing enablement.

What your day-to-day will look like:

• Provide inspirational, values-based leadership for your sub-team of approximately 15 BI professionals, fostering continuous skill development and an engaged culture that embraces collaboration and customer focus

• Manage workload capacity and demand across your portfolio of JLL customers, aligning priorities to ensure high-quality, on-time delivery while maintaining minimum 80% resource utilization

• Lead the tactical delivery of BI solutions following the full lifecycle—from project intake and scoping through development, quality assurance, deployment, documentation, and insight enablement

• Proactively identify operational risks and implement mitigating actions, maintaining credibility and confidence with customers and team members through transparent communication

• Partner with Account Analytics, Advanced Analytics, Sustainability Analytics, Data Engineering, and self-service platform teams to ensure seamless collaboration and adherence to the target operating model

• Manage performance metrics for your sub-team, recognizing achievements and addressing performance gaps with timely, constructive interventions

• Facilitate sprint development cycles using agile methodology, managing multiple concurrent priorities while ensuring solutions are governed, scalable, and sustainable

• Engage with new internal and external client opportunities to understand requirements, influence work pipelines, and showcase best-practice BI solutions as inspiration for future engagements

• Act as deputy for the Senior Operations Lead when required, representing the Centre of Excellence at leadership forums and strategic discussions

Required qualifications:

• Minimum 3 years of experience in analytics delivery or comparable professional experience in business intelligence environments

• At least 1 year of leadership experience managing BI delivery teams, operating effectively across multiple accounts or customers in complex organizational contexts

• Proven track record of line management and team leadership, with demonstrated success delivering effective BI solutions through direct reports

• Strong domain knowledge in data visualization tools and methodologies, with hands-on experience translating analytics into business decisions and transformation

• Exceptional oral and written communication skills, with ability to explain analytical concepts to business leaders and business concepts to technical teams

• Demonstrated ability to lead multiple concurrent projects and stakeholders, effectively managing expectations and maintaining clear reporting throughout project lifecycles

• Experience with agile methodology or equivalent approaches to managing team workloads, sprint planning, and iterative solution delivery

• Highly developed problem-solving and decision-making capabilities with ability to balance competing priorities and make sound judgment calls under pressure

Preferred qualifications:

• Degree in data, analytics, computer science, or related field

• Strong technical proficiency in data visualization platforms (Tableau and/or Power BI), program management tools (Microsoft DevOps), and data transformation technologies (Databricks, SQL, Python)

• Experience with automation tools and workflows such as Power Automate or Alteryx to drive operational efficiency

• Track record of integrating complex, cross-corporate processes and data models in enterprise environments

• Demonstrated ability to inspire and influence individuals outside direct reporting lines, building networks and coalitions across organizational boundaries

• Experience identifying and implementing AI-driven automation opportunities to enhance team operations and delivery efficiency
