The BI Report Developer Lead leads the team of Power BI report developers who build the reports and dashboards used by stakeholders across the Inspire Brands portfolio, including Dunkin’, Arby’s, Sonic, Jimmy John’s, Buffalo Wild Wings, and Baskin Robbins. The Lead is both a hands on report builder and the manager and mentor of the team, setting the technical bar for what good looks like in Power BI at Inspire.
This role plans the team’s work, partners with the data modeling team and business stakeholders, and is accountable for the quality, performance, and on time delivery of the reports the team produces. The team’s reports support more than 22,000 restaurants, so reliability, accuracy, and ease of use are non negotiable. Day to day, the Lead reviews team members’ DAX and visual work, gives feedback, unblocks people, and personally owns the most complex or high visibility reports.
The Lead is responsible for hiring, onboarding, performance management, and career development of the report developers on the team. The Lead represents the team in conversations with senior leadership and the brands, and translates business priorities into a clear backlog of work for the developers. Success is measured by the adoption of the reports the team produces, the development of the people on the team, and the quality of the decisions those reports help our brands and franchisees make.
This position reports to the Senior Director of Business Intelligence.
