Job Description

Dallas County Hospital District d/b/a Parkland Health has an opening for a BI Developer III position in Dallas, Texas. Duties Include:

Please note this position is hybrid and requires minimum of 2 days a week in office.

Meets customers’ analytic needs by designing, testing, and implementing high-value Business Intelligence solutions. Uses industry standard reporting tools to generate basic reports as requested. Uses the latest Business Intelligence development tools, methods, and technologies to implement high performance, analytic solutions. Facilitates communication and problem resolution with physicians & staff in both inpatient and outpatient settings. Collaborates with team members to learn business processes and capture requirements relative to proposed solutions. Documents each step of development to ensure adequate communication within the team and customers. Actively provides prompt responses to customer problems and inquiries. Makes the customer’s experience the first priority in all operations. Resolves Information Technology Service Management (ITSM) incidents and requests independently within Service Level Agreements (SLA) timelines. Takes ownership and resolves incidents and requests with minimal dependence on other team members. Uses diplomacy to handle conflict with peers, without allowing personal feelings to influence or impact the outcome negatively. Respects, shares and cooperates with fellow teammates and acts with Integrity. Follows all department procedures (Weekly Status Reports, Customer Delivery, Customer Communications, Request Creation, etc.). Has a healthy work ethic, by taking ownership for work assigned, finding solutions, and overcoming obstacles. Is accountable, and has a responsible attitude, works with a sense of urgency, and is relentless in the pursuit of excellence. Takes pride in a job well done, checking for completeness and accuracy. Requirements: Employer will accept a minimum of a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field and 48 months of experience in IT healthcare database support within a clinical unit of a healthcare organization. In the alternative, Employer will also accept a master’s degree in the stated fields and 24 months of experience in the stated areas. Any combination of education, training, or experience is acceptable. Experience should include:

48 (24) months of experience working with an integrated Electronic Medical Record (EMR) application within a healthcare organization. 36 (12) months of experience working with Business Intelligence (BI) tools, including Microsoft Power BI and Epic Development. 36 (12) months of experience using

Structured Query Language (SQL) Server-based SQL coding,

Oracle Procedural Language (PL)/SQL which includes Oracle relational and multi-dimensional database structures, schemas, stored procedures, views, and queries, and

Reporting tools, database services (Systems, Applications, and Products in Data Processing (SAP) High-Performance Analytic Appliance (HANA), SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS), Apache Nifi), or data modeling, warehouse, and virtual universe design
