The role:
We are seeking a BI Specialist to join our Delivery Team with the goal of reducing reliance on external vendors by bringing knowledge and its management in-house. The role requires strong ability to engage with various key users, understand their needs, and guide them toward effective solutions. In addition to providing user support, the successful candidate will play an active role in implementing technological strategies in the analytics domain, in alignment with corporate guidelines.

What will you do:

  • Monitor and maintain BI systems to ensure optimal performance and availability.

  • Analyze and resolve incidents, data inconsistencies, and system errors within BI applications.

  • Collaborate with key users to gather requirements and translate them into actionable BI solutions.

  • Develop and maintain dashboards, reports, and data models to support business needs.

  • Implement enhancements and updates to BI tools in alignment with corporate standards.

  • Ensure data integrity and security across all BI platforms and processes.

  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to optimize BI processes and system efficiency.

  • Coordinate the work of external providers, optimizing their effort in an efficient and effective manner

  • BI Governance and Demand Management:

    • Collect, assess, and prioritize business requests related to reports, dashboards, and data models.

    • Ensure alignment of BI initiatives with the IT roadmap, architectural standards, budget and governance rules.

    • Act as the coordination point between business stakeholders, the BI team, and external vendors or AMS.

  • Requirements:

      Background:

    • Bachelor’s degree in relevant discipline (Business Administration, Management Engineering, Information Technology, Computer Science).
    • 6+ years of working experience
    • Tech skills/tools:
    • BW/4 platform to be known for end-to-end handling:
    • LSA++ data modeling
    • ABAP ETL
    • HANA ETL (HANA transformations, Transformation on Calculation Views, etc...)
    • interface via OpenHub structure
    • Reporting layer
    • Process Chain automation and monitoring
    • AFO as main tool to access reporting data:
    • workbooks created for some areas
    • normal access directly to BEx queries
    • HANA Studio for data modeling
    • knowledge of Power BI as reporting tool
    • Additional nice to have
      • knowledge of Pentaho. This is an ETL tool from Hitachi, it is used to handle ETL processes and for scheduling and monitoring these processes

      • knowledge of Infor M3 ERP, it is our main source knowledge of SAP ECC


      Language Skills: Proficient English & Italian.

    Details:

    LocationGallarate (VA) with willingness to travel across sites.

    Working hours Full time, 40h/week, from Monday to Friday. You can start your day between 8:00 and 9:00 a.m., enjoy a lunch break of 1 to 1.5 hours anytime between 12:30 and 2:30 p.m., and wrap up your workday starting from 5:00 pm while completing a full 8-hour workday.
