We're hiring BI Analyst (Karachi - Hybrid)

 Client company introduction The company is a growing consultancy specializing in data analytics, providing high-quality, impactful data solutions to clients based in the UK.

The role

This is the seat between the data and the people using it. You'll work out what the business actually needs, prove the numbers are right, and build the Power BI reporting that replaces whatever spreadsheet-and-email process came before it.

Typical work in a given month:

• Profiling source data and producing source-to-target mappings the engineers build from
• Reconciling new reporting against the client's existing manual reports, line by line, until the numbers tie out and you can explain any variance
• Building Power BI semantic models over the gold layer — measures, DAX, row-level security by management hierarchy, incremental refresh
• Designing and building reports for very different audiences: a site general manager on a phone at 11pm, an area manager reviewing twelve sites, an exec who wants one number
• Defining metric logic and writing it down, so "labour percentage" means the same thing in every report
• Supporting UAT with client finance and operations teams, triaging defects, and producing training material

What we need from you

Essential

• 3+ years in BI, analytics or reporting
• Strong Power BI: semantic/tabular modelling, DAX beyond the basics, RLS, refresh and performance tuning, workspace and deployment management
• Strong SQL — you can go and check the numbers yourself rather than raising a ticket
• Genuine analytical instinct. When a total is 4% out, you want to know why, and you keep going until you do
• Clear written and spoken English. You'll be presenting to UK client stakeholders and running walkthroughs
• Willingness to work UK-aligned hours (roughly 12:00–21:00 or 13:00–22:00 PKT depending on the season)

Nice to have

• Power Apps, Power Automate or SharePoint/M365 — we build commentary and data-capture workflows that write back into the platform
• Commercial understanding of hospitality or retail metrics: sales mix, labour cost percentage, covers, wastage, like-for-like
• Exposure to Databricks, Delta Lake or a medallion architecture
• Requirements-gathering or business analysis experience in a consultancy setting
• Any experience retiring a manual reporting process and getting people to adopt the replacement.

• Working Days: Monday - Thursday (Onsite) - Friday WFH
• Work Timings: 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM UK Timings
  (12:00 PM to 9:00 PM PKT in Summer & 1:00 PM to 10:00 PM PKT in Winter)
• Work Mode: Karachi - Hybrid
• Location: Tariq Road, Delhi Society - Karachi
• Experience: 4 years or above
