Job Description

Role Title: BI / Analytics Engineer — Sustainability Reporting

Engagement Type: Contract / Fixed-Term (6–12 months) | Location: Remote / Hybrid

About the Role

We are looking for a BI / Analytics Engineer to design and build an adaptable reporting layer for a new enterprise Sustainability Management System (SMS). You will convert raw platform data into decision-ready dashboards used by site operators and C-suite executives (ExCo/SteerCo).

Key Responsibilities

  • Dashboard Development: Build leading-indicator (control verification, safety routines) and lagging-metric (TRIFR, LTIFR) dashboards using Power BI or Tableau.
  • Executive & Site Views: Design concise, "at-a-glance" executive scorecards alongside detailed operational views for frontline site teams.
  • Data Modelling & Governance: Work with Data Engineers to build canonical data models (lookups, mapping tables) and document report logic, data lineage, and refresh schedules.
  • Portable Architecture: Structure the reporting layer for portability to support a future transition to a Lakehouse data platform.
  • Stakeholder Support: Partner with Health, Environment, and Social Performance leads to resolve data discrepancies and standardize KPIs.

Minimum Requirements

  • BI Tooling: Advanced expertise in Power BI and/or Tableau
  • Data Modelling & SQL: Strong SQL skills with experience building canonical staging models and star schemas.
  • SaaS Integration: Experience extracting and modelling data from SaaS platform APIs and flat exports.
  • Audience Adaptability: Proven ability to tailor dashboard layouts for both operational teams and executive leadership.
  • Governance Discipline: Strict habits around metric standardization, logic documentation, and audit readiness.
