The Business Intelligence (BI) and Analytics area works with streaming data from Sony/Som Livre products across major digital partners (Spotify, Deezer, Amazon Music, among others), as well as chart and market performance data from the music industry. The team is responsible for data management, structuring, and analysis in Brazil, supporting multiple areas of the company such as Finance, A&R, Marketing, and Commercial, while also collaborating with global BI and Analytics teams at Sony Music in other countries.

The goal of the area is to transform data into strategic insights that support decision making, contributing to the evaluation of releases, artists, and market trends.

We are looking for a BI Analyst to support the processes of data extraction, transformation, analysis, and visualization, directly contributing to the generation of strategic insights and business decision support.

What you’ll do:

  • Perform extraction, processing, and analysis of music market datasets, generating insights to support internal teams and senior leadership;
  • Develop analyses and revenue projections related to artist performance, contracting, and contract renewals;
  • Support the creation of reports, dashboards, and executive presentations with strategic and performance indicators;
  • Work with streaming and chart data to identify consumption trends and market behavior;
  • Contribute to the automation and optimization of data collection and processing workflows;
  • Support analytical requests from different areas of the company, ensuring data consistency and quality;
  • Help promote a data-driven culture across the organization.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree completed or in progress in fields such as Engineering, Statistics, Economics, Business Administration, Information Systems, Data Science, or related areas;
  • Intermediate Excel skills for data analysis and reporting;
  • Intermediate SQL skills for data extraction and manipulation;
  • Familiarity with data visualization tools such as Power BI and Tableau at an intermediate level;
  • Basic knowledge of ETL processes, including data cleaning, transformation, and structuring;
  • Basic knowledge of data automation and integration via APIs using Python or Alteryx, as well as web scraping;
  • Strong analytical thinking, organization, and results orientation;
  • Good communication skills and ability to build executive presentations.

Expected experience:

  • Previous experience in data analysis, BI, KPI management, or related areas;
  • Experience handling datasets and building reports is a plus;
  • Experience in media, music, entertainment, or digital industries is a strong advantage;
  • Organized, detail-oriented profile with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously;
  • Interest in the music industry, digital consumption, and streaming trends.
