Job Description

Valid Ohio driver’s license and proof of auto insurance is required by hospital policy. Must pass a motor vehicle background inspection, insurance eligibility, driving qualifications and training set forth by Nationwide Children’s Hospital and must maintain qualification of insurance guidelines.

Provides and manages mental and behavioral healthcare for children, adolescents, and families, under the supervision of a licensed professional as part of the internship program. Develops skills and competencies in diagnosing and treating behavioral and emotional disorders.

Essential Functions:

  • Under direct supervision, performs diagnostic and risk assessments, therapy services, case management or care coordination services, and participates in observation activities.
  • Completes administrative duties such as maintaining clinical documentation, performing consultation and outreach, and responding to incoming internal and external messages.
  • Participates in internship program activities such as seminars and training events.
  • Maintains positive patient and family experiences and contributes positive support to colleagues.

Education Requirement:

Enrolled in a Master's or Doctoral program in Counseling, Social Work, or Marriage and Family Therapy, required.

Licensure Requirement:

Appropriate Ohio trainee license, required.
