At Bosch you will take responsibility for products enclosures development support, quality improvement and cost reduction. You will work designing 3D & 2D; BOM release on respective PLM system. Assist for test plan and test report creation and assist for manufacture and supplier communication of technical topic and design implementation in production line.

We are seeking a proactive Design Engineer to join our Consumer Goods product development team. In this role, you’ll drive the design, documentation, and release of new products, from initial concept through manufacturing, while ensuring compliance with safety, quality, cost, and customer requirements. You will work closely with cross-functional teams (Electronics, Quality, Purchasing, Manufacturing, Product Management and Suppliers) to translate customer needs into robust, manufacturable solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain 3D CAD models & 2D drawings of components, systems, sub-modules/modules and appliances according to the BSH product development process.
  • Support product quality and safety during development and sustaining engineering of products according to internal guidelines and agency standards (UL/CSA, IEC).
  • Prepare Bills of Materials (BOMs) and technical data packages in accordance with BSH product development process.
  • Manage Engineering Change Requests (CRs) with customers and internal value streams.
  • Perform GD&T and 2D/3D stack-up analysis as needed.
  • Create and maintain risk assessments (e.g. FMEA, DRBFM) throughout the product lifecycle.
  • Support analytic problem-solving initiatives using 8D, Six Sigma or DOE methodologies.
  • Recommend materials and component technologies for design optimization.
  • Define test parameters, oversee test execution, and compile results to validate product performance.
  • Coordinate with Product Management, Quality, Purchasing, Manufacturing and Suppliers to ensure on-time product realization.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical / Mechatronics Engineering or a related discipline.
  • Skilled in creating complex 3D models and assemblies with NX, and producing detailed 2D drawings for manufacturing.
  • Model-Based Definition (MBD) and Product and Manufacturing Information (PMI)
  • 3D Tolerance Stack-up.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team environment.

Additional Information

  • Hands-on experience with consumer cooking appliances or related products.
  • Knowledge of plastics design and mold-in-place best practices.
  • ISO GD&T certification or equivalent experience.
  • Proficient in analyzing CAE simulation results (FEA, CFD) to guide design validation and drive data-informed decisions.
  • Proven problem-solving skills using structured methods (8D, Six Sigma, DOE).
  • Experience managing risk assessments (FMEA) and engineering change processes.
