Missions:
- Supports tolerance commitment negotiation.
- Contributes to his/her metier continuous improvement for methodologies and feedback to geometry Metier central team in France.
- Close cooperation with plants and core team.
Activities:
Checking Fixtures development:
- Defines and write the specification books of the CheckingFixtures in accordance with customer requirements and Plastic Omnium Standard;
- Participates with the Purchasing Department to the sourcing of Checking Fixtures;
- Manages the technical follow-up of Design/Development/Manufacturing/validation and Tuning of checking Fixtures until Plant Acceptance;
- Validates the commissioning of checking fixtures in accordance to standard & spec. books (Safety, functionality,ergonomy, Gauge Repeatability, lack of interference…) before transferring it from the supplier;
- Drives plant Gauge repeatability and reproducibility (Gauge RR) and operational training;
- Perform analysis of Gauge RR results then advise to proceed to actions on Checking fixture, product &/or workinstructions
- Measurement and data analysis, fluent in statistical process (Excel or Minitab);
- Makes or manage dimensional measurements and deliver dimensional reports;
- 3D scanning experience is a plus (preferred withPolyworks).
Product convergency:
- Validates tolerance commitment in RFQ with PLE (RPSsystem, tolerances on internal and external gaps,…);
- Validates measurement scenario in accordance with customer expectation;
- Validates the content of the Geometry Folder created by the Design Leader or the EPM;
- Leads the Geometry Folder definition for complex and innovative projects;
- Ensures that the tools and methodology are used correctly within the projects;
- Estimates the budget (hours + costs) needed on global geometry scenario to ensure convergence on a project and submit to his Manager for validation;
- Contribute with/ guide the Engineering Project Managerand DL during part’s dimensional convergence/ tuning following OPTIMAP process (analysis, corrective actions);
- Synthesis of different measurement results: 1D, 2D, 3D & capabilities;
- Plans, organizes, makes or sub-contract all measurements according to Metrology Requests;
- Makes final statement of the project, emphasizing best practices;
- Consolidates final dimensional production capabilities from the plant to improve tolerance calculation tools, and share the capitalization to geometry Metier central.
- Validates datum scheme, stack-ups and tolerances calculated by the DL and/or EPM
- Can be identified as Key user for Network / can be identified as local trainer in his field for PO university/ can be identified as support on global complex projects on quotations, fixtures and/or product definitions
- Defining methodologies for development, as well as operational standards
- In charge of métier efficiency within Engineering Centers and Network management
- In charge of métier projects evolution for the future (new measurement tools/ new technologies and process)
- Management of supplier panel and on its improvement roadmap
- Supporting Innovation projects
- Support Engineering Centers on high complex projects on requests for quotation, fixtures and/or product definitions
- Problem solving at PO IES in a global level
Competences required:
- Bachelor with experience or Master degree in engineering.
- Analytical & technical spirit; rigour, leadership, accurate technical communication.
- English language.
- 3 to 4 years of significant experience in geometry field,automotive field (measurements and checking fixtures development) indirect contact with customer, practice of interface job between product & process department should be advantage.
- Mechanical engineering, statistics & tolerancing, GaugeRR, Dimensional inspection,
- Basic project management knowledge.
