Operational Excellence / Continuous Improvement Manager (m/f/d)

Location: Klöckner Pentaplast – Site Based

We are now looking for an Operational Excellence / Continuous Improvement Manager (m/f/d) to drive performance improvements at site level and support the delivery of Group strategic initiatives.

Your Role

In this role, you will act as the local change leader, identifying improvement opportunities, leading structured initiatives, and embedding a strong continuous improvement culture across the site. You will work cross‑functionally with HSE, Quality, Supply Chain, and Operations to deliver measurable business impact.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify, prioritize, and deliver local improvement opportunities in line with annual site objectives (Efficiency, Material Balance, Yield, Quality, Service, Inventory, etc.)
  • Define the annual project roadmap, including project scope, timelines, resource allocation, and training needs
  • Work closely with Site HSE, Quality, and Supply Chain leaders to ensure a harmonized project and improvement approach
  • Lead, mentor, and follow up on local improvement initiatives, tracking progress and reporting financial and operational benefits
  • Develop local capabilities by leading basic training sessions, Kaizen workshops, and CI activities in line with the defined Training Matrix
  • Ensure high data quality and transparency across operational KPIs (e.g. OEE, waste, downtime, quality, service performance)
  • Act as the site lead for implementing, tracking, and reporting Group Strategic Initiatives such as:
    • MDI, 5S, Visual Management
    • TPM, SMED, SPC
    • Root Cause Analysis, audits, and structured training programs
  • Implement and sustain an aligned Operational Excellence framework on site in close collaboration with Group Business Excellence
  • Escalate risks, delays, or support needs to ensure successful delivery of improvement initiatives

What You Bring

  • Strong experience in Operational Excellence, Continuous Improvement, or Lean Manufacturing
  • Proven ability to lead cross‑functional projects and influence stakeholders at all levels
  • Hands‑on experience with Lean / CI tools (e.g. Kaizen, TPM, SMED, SPC, RCA)
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate data into actionable improvements
  • A structured, proactive, and collaborative working style
  • Passion for developing people and embedding a culture of continuous improvement
