Job Description

It is the Primary responsibility of the Bevertainer to participate in exciting entertainment via choreographed dance and/or singing routines. Entertains and serves guests in a friendly, gracious and courteous manner. Accurate beverage preparation in accordance with departmental policies and procedures. Responsible for serving food items in specialty area and during special events and occasions.

  • Must present a professional, glamorous, and exciting appearance

  • Must be able to dance and/or sing to choreographed routines such as jazz, ballet, hip hop etc.

  • Must maintain a continually, upbeat, alluring and high energy demeanor when interacting with guests

  • Present and open bottles of wine and champagne

  • Garnish cocktails following heath department standards

  • Proper cash handling and control procedures according to departmental specific procedures

  • Record on register all beverage sales as instructed

  • Knowledge of liquor laws and regulations concerning service of alcoholic beverages

  • Knowledge of sanitation standards

  • Complete and monitor bar set up, clean up, and preparation for the oncoming shift and/or bar closure

  • Always keep the bar clean and sanitary

  • Remain informed on company special events and the hours of operation of food and beverage guests

  • Direct activities of bar porter assigned the bar

  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned

  • Previous entertainment experience as a performer is expected
  • Dancing and/or modeling experience expected
  • Must possess excellent customer service skills
  • Must maintain the look and appearance for which originally cast
  • Must wear proper attire in a neatly groomed fashion according to standards
  • Must re-audition for the position every year or as often as the Company determines necessary
  • Must be able to balance a tray of drinks and distribute without spilling
  • Through knowledge of liquors, cocktails, beers, wines, bottle service and garnishes expected
  • Ability to multi-task
  • Ability to effectively communicate in English, in both oral and written forms
  • Must answer the telephone in a professional courteous manner
  • Must be motivated, enthusiastic, organized and self-directed
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Must be a team player
  • Interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with all business contacts
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Must be at least 21 years of age to serve alcohol, in accordance with local laws

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Mobility including bending, reaching (to a height of 8ft) and prolonged standing

  • Transporting, pushing, pulling and maneuvering items weighing up to 40 lbs.

  • Normal sense of smell, touch, sound and vision range including absence of color blindness

  • Eye/hand coordination and manual dexterity as well as the ability to distinguish letters and symbols

  • Use of electrical equipment and Infogenesis POS

  • Ability to understand and comply with all company and departmental rules, regulations, policies and procedures and union contract

  • Skill in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with staff

  • Must maintain compliance with all state and local laws regarding proper alcohol service

  • Must be able to work with money and credit cards

GUEST SERVICE (INTERNAL/EXTERNAL) STANDARDS: Employee is required to meet and deliver our core values, service standards, and family style service.

PERFORMANCE REQUIREMENTS Must have the ability to provide internal/ external guests with service excellence, have excellent communication skills and observation skills, and have an easygoing demeanor to ensure a fun and safe environment for our guests. Above average speech – both speaking and reading/writing English. Need excellent interpersonal skills. Work requires schedule flexibility which may include days off, nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed.
