Beverage Service Technician

Location: Orlando, FL


Whaley Beverage Is a new Division of Whaley Foodservice that is looking to hire a professional that is enthusiastic about the coffee and beverage industry. This technician will be responsible for performing repair, maintenance, installation, and/or refurbishment work for commercial beverage-related equipment such as coffee, tea, juice, or espresso machines in different segments. Pay Rate: $24.00-28.00/hour

Job Responsibilities:

  • Repair, maintain, install, or refurbish equipment according to an established service schedule, company and factory standards and within acceptable time frames as well as troubleshoot and rectify potential problems on location.
  • Apply knowledge of products and seek additional training and education as appropriate.
  • Document legibly and accurately all work completed and submit such orders to office personnel according to company policy.
  • Work closely with management to ensure timely scheduling of work.
  • Employees must maintain service vehicle in a clean manner at all times, including keeping up with scheduled maintenance on company vehicles according to company policy.
  • Maintain clean, organized, and safe work environment.
  • Maintain vehicle stock of service parts and tools to ensure service efficiency.
  • Build and maintain customer relations in the field to ensure excellent customer service and enhance the company's image.
  • Offer assistance and instruction to other employees as needed in a teamwork setting.
  • Conduct preventative maintenance to improve performance and reduce service issues.
  • Maintain accurate records of repairs, replacement parts, and maintenance activities.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Requirements:

Certificates and Licenses: Required licenses include a Valid Driver License and driving record that aligns with our safety standards. Preference will be given to technicians with additional certifications such as CFESA Certifications and/or Journeyman Licenses or with training certificates from manufacturers and/or service representatives.

Education/Experience Must be at least 19 years of age. At least three years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Communication Skills Ability to read, analyze, and understand technical documents and schematics. Ability to write clear and legible maintenance logs. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers, employees and customers.

Math Ability The employee needs the ability to work with and understand metric and standard units of measure in weights and pressures.

Reasoning Ability The employee needs the ability to define problems and can diagnose and repair electrical and mechanical issues. Including making decisions both in the best interest of the customer and company

Technology To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of the internet, smartphones, and tablets. Individuals should have knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook or similar programs.

Work Environment The work environment characteristics described here are those an employee can encounter while performing the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee will frequently be exposed to moving mechanical parts, exposed electrical connections, and high-pressure steam. Overtime and on call time may be required.
