For over 125 years, Calvary Hospital and Calvary @ Home located in the Bronx, New York has been dedicated to the palliative care of advanced cancer and other terminally ill patients and their families. Through a caring, compassionate, philosophy of non-abandonment, the hospice provides a full spectrum of palliative services, including emotional, spiritual, and physical care. The hospice receives patients from referring institutions throughout New York City and the entire tristate area. Summary: The Hospice Bereavement Client- Coordinator coordinates the Hospice Bereavement activities, and provides psychosocial and bereavement counseling to the hospice patients and families and takes part in Bereavement Department programs

Requirements

• Licensed Master of Social Work, Licensed Clinical Social Worker or License Mental Health Counselor required.
• Specialized training in the area of death and dying preferred or related field.
• At least two years of hospice experience preferred.
• Position requires ability to commute to multiple territories to ensure continuity of care.
• A valid driver's license is required.(This requirement does not apply to positions assigned exclusively to Manhattan territory)
• A vehicle is required to commute to patients. (This requirement does not apply to positions assigned exclusively to Manhattan territory)
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Exhibits and ability and attitude relative to the spirit of caring and tradition at Calvary Hospital as required by specific job duties and functions.

Education:

• Master's degree in Social Work or Mental Health Counseling

Salary: $89,712.81/ annually
