Benefits Specialist

Location: St Petersburg, 33702 – Hybrid

Option to WFH on Monday and Friday if you have a private, designated workspace

Pay: $21.00 - $23.00 per hour

Type: Contract, (4) months for peak season, may go perm

Schedule: M-F, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM EST

Job description:

• Provide customer service and benefits administration support to clients, employees, and field partners through phone, email, and fax, resolving questions related to health plans, providers, and enrollment.
• Support new client benefits enrollment, including plan setup, carrier submissions, coverage confirmation, and guidance on benefit plan options and online benefits portals.
• Administer ongoing benefit changes, including qualifying life events, terminations, plan maintenance, and coordination with carriers and vendors to resolve coverage issues.
• Perform benefits data entry, reconciliation, and documentation while maintaining accurate records of client interactions, benefit changes, and issue resolutions within CRM and benefits systems.
• Support ACA compliance, eligibility reporting, open enrollment, and special projects while following HIPAA, SOC controls, data privacy, and confidentiality requirements.

Requirements:

• Must have (2)+ years of experience in customer service and/or employee benefits
• Must be familiar with health and benefits administration through work or education
• Must be MS Office proficient including Excel, PowerPoint
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Background check required
