Job Description

This role is responsible for administering and communicating employee benefits programs, ensuring compliance and providing support to Altera employees in the EMEA and APAC regions.

Responsibilities:

  • Administer various employee benefits programs, including health, dental, vision, life insurance, disability, retirement, perks, time off and absence plans.

  • Act as a primary point of contact for employee inquiries regarding benefits, providing clear and accurate information.

  • Manage external vendors to deliver high-quality outcomes and resolve issues to ensure smooth program operation.

  • Oversee vendor invoicing processes, including review, approval, alignment with contract terms and budgets, and coordination with Finance to ensure accurate and timely payment.

  • Partner closely with internal stakeholders to align priorities, communicate effectively, and drive execution across cross‑functional teams.

  • Assist in the annual enrollment process, including preparing communication materials and conducting informational sessions.

  • Ensure compliance with all relevant local and federal regulations pertaining to employee benefits.

  • Manage and maintain benefits content on the company intranet, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and timeliness.

  • Participate in benefits surveys and analyze market data to ensure competitive and attractive benefits offerings.

  • Support the Global Benefits team with other related projects and tasks as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in human resources, Business Administration, or a related field.

  • 5+ years of experience in benefits administration, preferably within a multinational company.

  • Strong understanding of labor laws and regulations related to employee benefits.

  • Proficient in Workday and Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel).

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain complex information clearly.

  • Ability to work effectively in a fast‑paced environment, adapt quickly to changing priorities, and operate with a high degree of comfort in ambiguous situations.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

  • Meticulous attention to detail and strong organizational skills.

  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
