As the Benefits Specialist at Dolese, you will play a key role in the development, implementation, and administration of employee benefit programs and assisting with leave of absence (LOA) programs. This role will work closely with HR team members and benefit vendors to provide a high quality and rewarding benefits experience for employees across the organization.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES/ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS


· Educate and support all employees in the enrollment process for employee benefit programs, including health insurance, dental plans, vision plans, and voluntary benefits.

· Develop and deliver a high-touch employee onboarding experience relating to benefits programs and enrollment processes.

· Support employees with the use of the HR information system (HRIS), Workday, by providing education and instructions relating to benefits, LOA, and related HR functions.

· Administer and process leave of absence cases.

· Partner with vendors to investigate claims issues, provide information in non-routine situations, and resolve complex administrative problems.

· Review and process benefits and retirement billings and conduct monthly reconciliation to ensure accuracy.

· Communicate benefits, retirement, and other information in a clear, professional, and engaging manner.

· Support the annual open enrollment process by collaborating with vendors and HR team members to host meetings, provide accurate information to employees, and ensure enrollments are completed in a timely manner.

· Demonstrate strong problem-solving skills by identifying trends or recurring issues and recommending improvements to enhance the employee benefits experience.

· Partner with vendors to ensure benefits information is accessible, easy to understand, compliant and up to date.

· Collaborate with the benefits team to conduct periodic audits to ensure data accuracy, compliance, and process improvement.

· Regular attendance at the worksite or assigned work location.

· Other duties and responsibilities related to the nature of the job may be assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS


EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

· Bachelor's degree in human resources, business, or related field required.

· Minimum of three (3) years of benefits administration, leave administration, or related experience required.

· Experience interacting, advising, and communicating effectively required.

· Experience in using HR information systems required; preferably Workday.

· PHR, SHRM-CP, or other benefits or HR certification preferred.


KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES

· Working knowledge of employee benefit programs including program administration and compliance requirements.

· Knowledge of administration of leave programs, including the Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA) and the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA).

· Ability to demonstrate a strong customer-service orientation in a team environment.

· Ability to research and resolve a variety of issues while leveraging available resources.

· Strong organizational skills.

· Excellent communication abilities including written, verbal, and presentation skills.

· Ability to work with all levels of the organization.

· Ability to work proactively with minimal guidance.

· Proficient in Microsoft Office programs, email, internet, and HRIS (Workday preferred).

· Excellent interpersonal skills and a positive attitude that fosters effective relationships.

· Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license with good driving record.

· Ability to travel to various worksites on occasion for employee education and annual open enrollment.

· Ability to work a flexible schedule including early mornings, nights, and weekends as needed.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS


· Lift, push, or pull objects of various dimensions up to 30 lbs. of weight frequently

· Ability to perform primarily sedentary work and tolerate prolonged standing, sitting, and walking.

· Ability to perform repetitive motions such as typing and data entry using a keyboard and mouse.

· Ability to communicate clearly and effectively.
