We are looking for a talented Benefits, Leave & Disability Administrator to join our Total Rewards team for Cummins Services – HR Operations at Cummins Comercializadora in San Luis Potosí, SLP, Mexico.
Work Modality: Hybrid, 3 days o site, 2 days home office.
Job Summary:
The Benefits, Leave & Disability Administrator provides administrative and operational support for U.S. disability and leave processes. This role is responsible for processing employee cases and transactions, maintaining accurate records, supporting benefit and payroll-related activities, and responding to employee inquiries in accordance with established procedures.
The role works closely with the Disability team, Payroll, People Support, HR, and external vendors to ensure accurate and timely processing and positive employee experience.
In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:
- Provide administrative support for disability and leave cases, including Short-Term Disability (STD), Long-Term Disability (LTD), parental leave, and other applicable leave programs.
- Process employee information and transactions related to disability and leave cases, following established procedures and guidelines.
- Review employee and case information to ensure required documentation is complete and information is accurately recorded in the appropriate systems.
- Process benefit and payroll-related transactions and calculations, including pay element entry in HRIS systems, offset administration, and other leave-related payroll activities.
- Perform Benefit and payroll-related calculations and transactions, including pay elements, deductions, offsets, and other leave-related payroll impacts.
- Respond to routine employee inquiries regarding disability and leave processes and escalate complex cases to the appropriate team member when necessary.
- Process approval notifications and update employee records based on information received from internal teams and external vendors.
- Perform basic data quality checks to identify missing or inconsistent information and support the correction of discrepancies.
- Maintain accurate case documentation and records in HR, case management, tracking, and vendor systems.
- Follow up on pending cases and required information to support timely completion of disability and leave transactions.
- Collaborate with the Disability team, Payroll, People Support, HR, and external vendors to obtain information and support case resolution.
- Support reports, audits, and other administrative activities related to disability and leave processes as needed.
- Prepare routine reports, support audit activities, and perform administrative tasks related to benefits, leave, and disability programs and processes, as needed.
- Follow established policies, procedures, and controls to ensure consistent and accurate process execution.
To be successful in this role, you will need the following:
- Previous experience in an administrative position supporting Payroll, Benefits, Leave, Disability or HR Customer Service role.
- English proficiency with the ability to communicate verbally and in writing in a business environment.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to accurately process employee information transactions, and case documentation.
- Strong mathematical skills and attention to detail, with the ability to understand, perform, and validate complex leave, disability, and benefit calculations involving multiple programs, eligibility requirements, pay elements, offsets, and payroll impacts.
- Customer service orientation and ability to interact professionally and empathetically with employees and stakeholders.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks and follow established deadlines.
- Ability to follow documented processes, procedures and controls while identifying issues for appropriate escalation.
- Problem-solving skills with the ability to identify discrepancies and support issue resolution.
- Ability to work collaboratively with different teams and stakeholders.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
- Ability to learn and navigate HR, Payroll case management and vendor systems.
Preferred:
Familiarity with U.S. HR or payroll processes.
Experience with Oracle HCM Cloud and/or ServiceNow.
Experience Working in U.S. disability and leave processes is a plus.
Experience with payroll-related transactions and employee data.

Education, Licenses, and Certifications:
Relevant education or equivalent professional experience.
Bachelor’s degree in progress or completed in Accounting, Business Administration, Human Resources, or a related field.
