Job Description

Whether you come from a background in HR, customer service, healthcare, or administrative support, you can be successful in this role. We don’t require a specific degree or experience, but we’re looking for translatable skills and relevant expertise. We will provide you with the training and development opportunities needed to build a career here!

About The Role:

As a Benefits Coordinator, you’ll help support employees through some of life’s biggest moments by guiding them through benefits, leave requests, and important people-related processes. You’ll be a go-to resource for benefits questions, helping employees feel informed, supported, and cared for. From coordinating benefits education to keeping systems and records accurate, your work will help ensure a smooth experience for employees across the company.

Here’s a snapshot of what you’d be doing:

  • Supporting employees with leave and absence related tasks like time off requests, PTO donations, timesheet updates, growing family support, and other leave management needs.

  • Serving as a friendly front-line contact for benefits questions by managing shared inboxes and helping employees find the answers and support they need.

  • Coordinating benefits education efforts, including New Hire Orientation and outreach that helps employees better understand their available benefits.

  • Maintaining accurate benefit eligibility tracking and partnering with vendors and Payroll to ensure employee information, deductions, and earnings stay up to date.

  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to help plan and execute employee-focused events like wellness screenings, open enrollment, and department events.

  • Assisting with incoming mail like unemployment claims and verification letters, while also providing back-up support for 401k communication and education when needed.

  • Supporting compliance processes related to evidence of insurability, domestic partner benefits, and COBRA administration.

  • Pitching in wherever needed (excluding licensed tasks) to help foster a supportive and collaborative team culture.

About You:

  • You’re great at staying organized, managing multiple priorities, and keeping tasks on track in a fast-paced environment.

  • You’re a strong communicator who knows how to connect with people clearly and professionally, both written and verbally.

  • You handle sensitive and confidential information with maturity, discretion, and care.

  • You adapt well to change and can shift priorities while still delivering a great employee experience.

  • Providing exceptional customer service comes naturally to you, and you genuinely enjoy helping others.

  • You thrive in collaborative environments and enjoy working closely with co-workers across teams.

  • You show up consistently and can be counted on to get the job done.

  • Experience in benefits or a related field is a plus, but we’re also excited to train someone with the right mindset and transferable skills.

About Us:

We’re all about helping Veterans and military families become homeowners. In two short decades, we closed over 500,000 VA Loans and became the #1 VA lender for homebuyers in the nation. But to us, success isn’t measured in numbers. Our success is measured in living our values every day: Be Passionate and Have Fun, Deliver Results with Integrity and Enhance Lives Every Day. We always strive to provide friendly service to military homebuyers and their families. And we always seek to lift up people and communities across the country.

We’re so glad you’re here checking out this opportunity! If this role gets you excited but you’re worried you don’t check every box – don't sweat it. We’re more interested in what you can bring to the team than a perfect checklist. If you’re passionate, driven, and ready to make a difference, we’d love to hear from you. Come as you are, and together we’ll create something amazing.
