Job Description

St. Jude is actively seeking a Benefits Analyst II. Every team member at St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital plays a critical role in achieving the mission! We are in need of an analytical and detailed individual who will be assisting in the reviewing, proposing, implementing, and maintaining competitive, cost-effective, and legally compliant benefit programs. This role will also develop, communicate and ensure application of policies and programs.

Responsibilities
  • Monitors and updates benefit programs to include FMLA and SPDs to ensure compliance with all rules, regulations and laws

  • Monitors and analyzes expenses and experience for all benefit plans

  • Provides trend analyses and recommends enhancements/changes to existing programs to ensure maximum efficiency and cost effectiveness

  • Prepares and audits invoices

  • Serves as the primary contact with third party providers to ensure compliance with all plans and contracts and assists in resolution of complex issues regarding claims, communications or other topics. Interacts with Human Resources database, including enrollment, auditing, reporting and troubleshooting of the system

  • Performs audits of enrollments, contributions and other database information as necessary

  • Develops and generates reports from Human Resources database as needed

  • Reviews and updates procedures and polices to ensure appropriate documentation is maintained

  • Provides quality customer service to all employees and vendors, ensuring timely, accurate and respectful communication at all times

Minimum Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree required

Minimum Experience:

  • Two (2) years experience in any area of human resources administration required

  • Strong desk top, HR database skills required.

  • Previous benefits experience strongly preferred.

  • Experience in Workday is preferred

  • (NL) Professional in Human Resources (PHR) or Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR)preferred

  • (NL) Certified Benefits Professional (CBP) or Certified Employee Benefits Specialist preferred

Compensation

In recognition of certain U.S. state and municipal pay transparency laws, St. Jude is including a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. This is an estimate offered in good faith and a specific salary offer takes into account factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the salary range and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current salary range is $60,320 - $105,040 per year for the role of Benefits Analyst II.
