The Benefits Analyst supports the administration, analysis, communication, and continuous improvement of company-sponsored benefit programs. This role serves as a liaison between employees, vendors, and internal stakeholders to ensure effective benefits delivery, compliance, employee education, and wellness initiatives. The position is responsible for benefit plan reporting, vendor management, process improvement, employee support, and promoting overall employee well-being across the organization.

Responsibilities:

  • Administer and support all company-sponsored employee benefit programs.
  • Serve as the primary liaison between the company and benefit vendors to resolve issues and support employee needs.
  • Audit, review, and process benefit-related invoices, identifying and resolving discrepancies.
  • Assist with benefit plan marketing, renewals, and vendor negotiations in partnership with brokers and providers.
  • Prepare, update, and maintain benefit plan documents, employee communications, and educational materials.
  • Ensure benefit programs comply with applicable federal, state, and local regulations.
  • Analyze benefits data, claims information, utilization trends, and program costs; prepare reports and recommendations for leadership.
  • Develop and implement employee wellness initiatives and programs that promote health and well-being.
  • Conduct employee benefits education sessions and provide guidance regarding benefit plans and enrollment options.
  • Create and maintain benefits orientation materials and train internal facilitators responsible for new hire onboarding.
  • Support annual compliance and reporting requirements, including Form 5500 preparation, employee benefit statements, and departmental audits.
  • Lead and support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance benefits administration processes and employee experience.
  • Participate in team meetings, cross-functional projects, and other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of two (2) years of experience in benefits administration, healthcare administration, or a related field.
  • Knowledge of employee benefits programs, claims administration, and benefits compliance requirements.
  • Experience analyzing benefits costs, claims data, and program performance metrics.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and document management systems.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion.
  • Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate empathetically and professionally with employees.

Additional Qualifications, Preferred:

  • Experience supporting large, multi-location organizations.
  • Knowledge of wellness program design and implementation.
  • Experience with benefit plan renewals, vendor management, and broker relationships.
  • Familiarity with Form 5500 reporting and benefits compliance audits.
  • Experience with continuous improvement methodologies and process optimization.
  • Professional certification related to benefits, human resources, or healthcare administration (CEBS, SHRM, PHR, or similar).
  • Experience with HRIS and benefits administration systems.

Work Environment:

  • This position is located in an active industrial manufacturing and distribution center with moderate to high noise levels, temperature variations, and material handling equipment in operation. The role may require extended periods of standing or walking on concrete floors and the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) such as safety glasses and steel-toed boots. The fast-paced environment involves time-sensitive and safety sensitive operations and may include various shift schedules to support production and distribution needs.
