
Nelson Mullins an AmLaw 60 firm, is seeking an experienced Benefits Administrator to oversee partner-level and employee retirement programs, trust operations, and executive benefit plans This role is essential in ensuring the accuracy, compliance, and efficiency of the firm’s complex benefit structures while delivering a high-quality experience to partners, executives, attorneys, internal stakeholders, auditors, actuaries, and external vendors. You will help drive firmwide benefits strategy, maintain regulatory compliance, and support leadership with data-driven insights.
As the Benefits Administrator, you will serve as the primary resource for partner‑level and executive retirement benefits. Your day involves administering multiple retirement plan types, coordinating trust‑related activities, managing the full Form 5500 and audit cycle, partnering with actuaries on valuations and funding projections, preparing advanced Excel‑based financial reporting, and supporting the Benefits Committee with governance materials and recommendations. You’ll collaborate with investment managers, trust departments, attorneys, auditors, and senior leadership to ensure compliant, accurate, and efficient management of the firm’s benefit programs.
The ideal candidate will have bring expertise in retirement plan administration and are comfortable operating in a fast‑paced, detail‑driven environment. You excel at communicating complex benefit concepts clearly, work proactively with senior leadership and external partners, and maintain an unwavering commitment to accuracy and compliance. You thrive in roles requiring discretion, independent judgment, and cross-functional collaboration.
