Job Description

PM Shifts Needed:
• 2pm-10pm
• 3pm-11pm
• 4pm-12am

This position transports guests and employees to specific locations designated by resort, i.e. condos on property, casino, airport, employee housing, etc. This position also assists bell staff with guests at check in and out with luggage, answers questions and informs on all the amenities the resort offers, and assists with delivering amenities. It is essential that this position use 4 Diamond language and presence at all times.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Safely transport guests and employees to their requested destination.
• Assist passenger(s) when entering or exiting vehicle as necessary.
• Greet guests as they enter and exit the front doors using 4 Diamond language and presence.
• Assist with and/or store luggage when needed.
• Deliver amenities promptly and courteously.
• Responsible for securing packages from shipping when shipping is closed.
• Keep vehicles clean of debris and neat in appearance.
• Check vehicles for oil, gas, wiper maintenance, etc. Routinely perform inspection of vehicles for mechanical, safety, or equipment problems.
• Maintain open communication with fleet maintenance on maintenance needs for vehicles.
• Responsible for cleanliness and neatness of the front entrance and lobby area.
• May be requested to valet park guest’s vehicles.
• Responsible for the pick up and deliver laundry/dry cleaning.
• Must keep up to date and informed on daily and weekly functions at the resort and surrounding area.
• May be required to transport employees living in property owned housing.
• Will be required to transport groups for special transportation pre-approved through the Sales Department.
• Knowledge of major area attractions and tourism in order to efficiently describe our location. Keep informed of all events in order to answer questions.
• Will be required to attend all safety trainings that pertain to this type of position.
• Must maintain a good rapport with fellow employees and reflect positive attitude.
• Complete all assignments requested of you.
• Maintain open line of communication with supervisor
• Maintain a professional appearance and attitude at all times.
• Must understand and abide by environmental practices of the resort
• Other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
Must be at least 21 years of age and have a current, valid Chauffer/CDL license with a Passenger Endorsement. Driving record must be free of any alcohol or drug related convictions within the last 3 years, and may not have more than 6 points in moving violations, or, the license may not have been revoked at any time within the last 36 months. Basic computer skills: Microsoft Word, Excel, are required. Previous customer service experience is helpful.

OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Skills in conflict resolution and interpersonal communication are helpful. Must have excellent customer service and communication skills. Must be a team player with a positive attitude. Must possess the ability to work with various personalities while maintaining impartiality. The needs for quickness and ease of adjustment to the work environment and flexibility to change are essential in this position. Must be informative and deal effectively with guests and employees while being friendly at all times.

TYPICAL PHYSICAL DEMANDS
• Manual labor may be part of your daily job assignment.
• Extended hours of standing may be necessary
• While performing the duties of this job, the employee must be able to lift up to 75lbs.
• Frequent bending to work on the ground and lifting of things off the ground will be necessary to complete some of your job tasks.
• Abide by all driving laws. Employee is responsible for any violations of Michigan state motor vehicle laws.

TYPICAL MENTAL DEMANDS
Must be able to communicate effectively with hotel guests as well as fellow resort employees. Must be prepared to listen to any guest complaint/problem, and help solve it. Must be able to effectively handle stressful and compromising situations while remaining focused and professional. Must be able to deal with difficult people without losing perspective. Must be able to work productively under strict time restraints with variable deadlines.

WORKING CONDITIONS
This position will require working indoors and in outdoor conditions encountered in Northern Michigan; cold, heat, dry, wet, wind, cloudy and sunny conditions. This is a fast paced position with many interactions with hotel guests day in and day out. Must practice all safety policies, procedures and standards as set by OSHA.
