As Mackinac Island’s only full-service, casually elegant resort, we are seeking an enthusiastic and service-driven Bellman/Dockporter to join our Guest Services team and ensure every guest feels welcomed and supported from the moment they arrive.
About the Role
The Bellman/Dockporter plays a key role in delivering a polished and memorable first impression for our guests. This hands-on role focuses on assisting with arrivals and departures, handling luggage, escorting guests to their rooms, and providing information and assistance to ensure a smooth and enjoyable stay.
This position is ideal for a guest-focused professional who enjoys providing personalized service, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and takes pride in delivering a welcoming, seamless experience.

QualificationsWhat We’re Looking For

Experience: Previous hospitality, resort, or guest service experience preferred but not required
- Professional Traits: Friendly, professional, detail-oriented, reliable, and committed to exceptional service
- Problem-Solving: Ability to handle guest requests and concerns with patience, empathy, and sound judgment
- Communication: Strong verbal communication skills; comfortable interacting with guests from diverse backgrounds
- Physical Requirements: Ability to stand for extended periods and lift and carry luggage up to 50 lbs
- Location Requirement: Must be able to live and work on Mackinac Island during the operating season
