Perform all duties and meet all requirements of Door Attendant and Bell Staff in addition to supervising their activities. Be informed as to daily activities and communicate same to others. Reports directly to the Front Office Manager and provides support to the leadership team with the day-to-day Door and Bell operations
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and a minimum of one year related experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• This position involves driving a company vehicle and/or company insured vehicle. A valid driver’s license is required, along with successful completion of a pre-employment Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) and annual MVRs, according to company guidelines. Follow safe, defensive driving practices at all times, obey all traffic laws, regulations, signals and markings, use a seat belt, and follow Company policies and procedures, including the Substance Abuse Policy. Never drive while under the influence of drugs, alcohol or medications that may impair your ability to operate a vehicle safely, report any accidents immediately and cooperate fully with insurance claims investigations.
• All duties performed and requirements of Door Attendant and Bell Staff.
• Responsible for all the work areas around the lobby, the front porch, driveways and parking lots
• Responsible for the daily upkeep and supervision of certain resort amenities offered to our guests such as bikes and the resort’s BMW fleet
• Responsible for Ship-Sticks: receiving and shipping
• Physically present in the operations, on the floor with the team and supervising the daily operations. Workstation usage at a minimum for administrative tasks that require access to a computer.
• Supervise the Bell Staff and lead by example.
• Act as a liaison between bell staff and front desk, by promoting a collaborative team spirit
• Act as a liaison between bell staff and conference group leads
• Communicate with satellite buildings and allocate resources to adequately serve business needs
• Prepare payroll and schedule in absence of Front Office Manager.
• Attend daily stand-up meetings to be in “the know” of Resort happenings and relay information to the bell staff
• Attending Departmental Meetings and weekly trainings
• Work closely with the Assistant Front Office Managers and Front Office Managers
• Showcase leadership skills by leading by example and promoting a positive work environment
• Responsible for training and supervising Bell staff, providing ongoing coaching and feedback to maintain high service standards. Lean on the Assistant Front Office Managers/Front Office Managers for employee counseling.
• Review weekly schedule with the Assistant Front Office Manager
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Directly supervises up to 25 employees in the Bell Staff. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
LANGUAGE SKILLS:
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operation and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
REASONING ABILITY:
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.
