This position is responsible for assisting guests with their luggage, greeting and welcoming them to the hotel and pleasantly escorting them to and from their room.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities: includes but not limited to:
Escorts guests and their luggage to and from their hotel rooms, as well as to and from their vehicles in the Hotel Porte
Assists guests with the loading and unloading of luggage to and from their vehicles
Stores and retrieves guests’ luggage and personal belongings at the Bell Desk
Informs guests of hotel services offered and effectively communicates room features
Maintains full knowledge of Mohegan Sun property and events in addition to local area attractions and replays this information to our guests during the check-in/rooming process
Assists with the preparation, arrival and departure of all corporate, convention and bus groups
Delivers luggage and pulls bags for entertainment, bus and convention groups
Assists guests with dinner and spa reservations, transportation needs and provides professional shoe shines
Secondary Duties and Responsibilities:
Answers the Bell Desk phone according to department policies and procedures
Assists with the coordination of special guests requests with VIP Services
Assists in other areas of Hotel Operations including, Aquai reception, Front Office, Concierge and Pool, as needed
Minimum Education and Qualifications:
High School Diploma or equivalent
Six months of experience as a hotel Bell Person/Doorperson or one year of experience in a hotel guest services position
Must be able to communicate effectively in English
Previous experience in a guest contact position
Must possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills

Extensive knowledge of the property, local areas and destinations
Possesses a high level of maturity to deal with the most discriminating guest requests and requirements
Training Requirements:
Knowledge of systems used by Hotel Operations
Physical Demands and Work Environment:
Must be able to stand, walk, reach, bend or sit for extended periods of time
Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
Must be able to work various shifts and flexible hours
Must be able to work outdoors in all types of weather conditions
