Key Responsibilities

• Complete behavioural assessments and plan treatment strategies in conjunction with team members, under the supervision of staff psychologists.
• Develop and implement positive behaviour support plans for referred individual clients.
• Monitor management of positive behaviour supports plans and collect data to document clients’ progress.
• Coordinate and monitor service delivery and assist in the development and delivery of training sessions on behaviour modification for clients, staff and community partners.
• Participate as a member of a multi-disciplinary treatment team.
• Provide Education to community partners about behaviour management and principles of behaviour modification.
• Other duties may reasonably be assigned.
• Work in a manner that is in compliance with staff and patient/client safety practices, policies and procedures of The Royal.
• Ensure a work environment that is conducive to The Royal’s Anti-Racism, Harassment & Discrimination Free policy.

Qualifications

• Post graduate diploma or degree from a recognized college or university such as a diploma in Behaviour Analysis or a related field. i.e. Behavioural Science Technology (3 years advanced), or a related undergraduate degree with emphasis on applied behavior analysis.
• Demonstrated experience and sound knowledge in the field of developmental disabilities, mental illness and behavioural analysis.
• Demonstrated ability to work both independently and in a professional multi-disciplinary team environment.
• Previous experience in a community setting is considered an asset.
• Experience in facilitation of group/individual counselling and experience in staff training/education is considered an asset.
• Knowledge of consultation model.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Valid class G driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle.

Language Requirements

English level A- is mandatory in oral expression, comprehension, reading and writing. Bilingual (French/English) is considered an asset
