Job Description

Positive Behaviour Support Practitioner, Proficient Team Leader

Full Time 38 Hours Per Week
Hybrid: 2/3 days per week in the Warragul office and the remainder of the week working remotely

Disability Connect Australia is seeking an experienced Proficient Behaviour Support Practitioner to lead and support a developing team of Core practitioners.

Your two office days will focus on providing supervision, mentoring and practical support to your team. The remaining three days can be worked from home, completing practitioner work, reports and service delivery.

You will:

  • Supervise and mentor Core Behaviour Support Practitioners
  • Provide guidance on assessments, reports and behaviour support plans
  • Complete functional behaviour assessments and behaviour support plans
  • Support quality, compliance and best-practice service delivery
  • Work with participants, families and multidisciplinary teams
  • Support the reduction and elimination of restrictive practices
  • Ensure services meet NDIS Commission requirements

You will have:

  • Proficient-level suitability with the NDIS Commission
  • Strong experience delivering Positive Behaviour Support
  • Experience supervising or mentoring developing practitioners
  • Knowledge of the PBS Capability Framework
  • Experience working with complex participants
  • A relevant tertiary qualification or equivalent professional experience
