| Full Time | Pay Range: $67,912.00-$84,240.00 (Based on experience.) | Schedule: Monday-Friday 10:00am-6:30pm (Please Note: Participation in a rotating weekly on-call schedule is required, approximately once every five weeks.) |

Weekly Earned Wage Access is an option for this position.

Job Purpose or Objective(s): As the Behavioral Health Therapist, you will provide counseling to individuals and groups to promote optimum mental and emotional health. You will report to Behavioral Health leadership.

Primary Tasks:

  1. Provide assessment and stabilization for individuals who may be experiencing mental health crises.

  2. Counsel individuals to process crisis issues associated with, but not limited to; addictions and substance abuse, family, marital problems, depression, anxiety, trauma, stress management, self-esteem, aging and any other emotional stressors.

  3. Provide Behavioral Health services, self-care plan development, coping skills, motivational interviewing, and related integrated Behavioral Health services.

  4. Work closely with primary care providers, medical clinic support staff, and preventive program services staff encountering patients in all medical clinic settings

  5. Refer patients for inpatient treatment services, arrange for transportation, and provide any necessary documentation to facilities.

  6. Prepare and maintain all treatment records, maintain confidentiality of patient records, and upholds patient safety standards.

  7. Serves as liaison between medical staff, patients, relatives, and outside agencies.

  8. Provide services in a range of hospital settings including:family practice, ER, pediatrics, med-surge women’s health, etc.

  9. Interpret and assist in resolving problems that relate to medical condition and/or hospitalization.

  10. Collaborate with other staff members to perform clinical assessments, refer for continuing services, or develop treatment plans.

  11. Perform other duties as may be assigned.

Required Education and Experience:

  • Master’s degree in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling or related human services from a nationally accredited college or university
  • Under supervision for Licensed Mental Health Professional (LPC, LCSW, LADC-MH, LMFT)
  • Two [2] years of experience in a behavioral health setting
