Behavioral Health Technician

Location: Quincy, IL
Department: Clarity Healthcare – Residential Services (substance use disorder)
Employment Type: Part-Time (29 hours weekly)

Shift:
Friday 7 AM – 1 PM | Saturdays & Sundays 7 AM – 7 PM
On-call shift coverage as needed

Requirements:

We are seeking a Behavioral Health Technician to join our residential team and help provide high-quality, person-centered care. This role is ideal for individuals with experience in medical or healthcare settings who are passionate about supporting individuals on their recovery journey. You’ll play a vital role in supporting daily client needs, maintaining a safe environment, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary care team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborative Care: Participate in treatment planning and team meetings
  • Client Support: Assist with daily living activities and provide support/education
  • Program Monitoring: Ensure adherence to program guidelines and report concerns
  • Medication Oversight: Follow protocols and coordinate with nursing staff
  • Admissions Support: Assist with intake, safety checks, and specimen collection
  • Transportation: Support client transportation needs as required

Qualifications

Education: High school diploma or equivalent

Experience:

  • Minimum of 2 years consistent work history
  • Medical/clinical experience strongly preferred
    (CNA, Medical Assistant, Patient Care Tech, EMT, or similar backgrounds are highly encouraged to apply)

License: Valid driver’s license
Age Requirement: Must be at least 21 years old

Additional Skills

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team-based environment
  • Basic computer proficiency
  • Experience in behavioral health or substance use treatment is a plus

Additional Requirement

For applicable staff: Must provide evidence of being free from infectious/contagious diseases (e.g., TB) prior to employment and annually thereafter.
