About Pyramid Healthcare

Pyramid Healthcare is seeking compassionate and dependable Behavioral Health Technicians (BHTs) to join our residential treatment team in Concord, NC. This PRN opportunity offers flexible scheduling while allowing you to make a meaningful impact in the lives of individuals working toward lasting recovery.

As a Behavioral Health Technician, you will help create a safe, structured, and supportive environment by providing direct care, encouraging client engagement, and assisting with daily operations of the residential treatment program.

The Behavioral Health Technician is a direct care role responsible for supervising clients, supporting treatment programming, and assisting with daily living activities. BHTs work closely with clinical and administrative staff to promote client safety, encourage recovery, and maintain a therapeutic environment.

Schedule & Pay

  • Status: PRN (As Needed)
  • Schedule: Flexible scheduling with a mix of 8-hour and 12-hour shifts
  • Pay: $17.00–$18.00 per hour
  • Shift Differential: Earn up to an additional $1.50 per hour depending on the shift worked.

Key Responsibilities

  • Welcome new admissions and assist with client intakes.
  • Supervise clients to ensure safety and adherence to program expectations.
  • Build positive, supportive relationships with clients throughout treatment.
  • Observe and document client self-administration of medications as applicable.
  • Complete accurate and timely documentation in accordance with program standards.
  • Support therapeutic groups and structured daily programming.
  • Assist clients with daily living activities and individualized treatment goals.
  • Provide transportation for clients when needed.
  • Respond appropriately to behavioral or emotional crises using de-escalation techniques.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and therapeutic environment.
  • Assist with meal service and other unit responsibilities as needed.
  • Maintain professional boundaries and uphold confidentiality.
  • Complete required trainings and participate in ongoing staff development.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Education

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • CPR, AED, and First Aid certification required (or ability to obtain upon hire).

Experience

  • Previous experience in behavioral health, healthcare, human services, or a related field is preferred.
  • Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record required.

Skills & Abilities

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to remain calm and professional in crisis situations.
  • Strong observation, documentation, and organizational skills.
  • Passion for helping individuals achieve lasting recovery.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with a multidisciplinary team.
