Job Title: Behavioral Health Technician (Full-Time, 2nd Shift)

As a Behavioral Health Technician, you will play an essential role in delivering residential and outpatient treatment services. This direct care position is primarily responsible for interacting with and supervising clients in treatment, assisting both clinical and administrative teams to identify and meet client needs.

Pay: $15.00/hour before shift differentials.

Available Shifts:

  • 2nd Shift: 3 PM - 11 PM

Shift Differentials:

  • 1st Shift (Saturday and Sunday): +$1.00
  • 2nd Shift (Monday - Friday): +$1.00
  • 2nd Shift (Saturday and Sunday): +$1.50
  • 3rd Shift (Monday - Friday): +$1.50
  • 3rd Shift (Saturday and Sunday): +$1.50

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assist with the intake process for new clients entering the program.
  • Communicate effectively with staff through verbal and written logs, ensuring detailed client documentation.
  • Listen to clients regarding all aspects of treatment while maintaining a safe, orderly, and therapeutic environment, including crisis intervention.
  • Coordinate activities such as lectures, recreation, and meetings.
  • Conduct mandatory bed checks as required and complete bed-check sheets for shift reporting.
  • Attend shift changes, team meetings, and company meetings.
  • Ensure that the client schedule is adhered to daily.
  • Support interventions with clients as needed.
  • Follow the objectives outlined in treatment plans.
  • Monitor the medication line and assist with medication administration as applicable.
  • Transport clients to meetings and recreational activities.
  • Conduct searches of clients upon their return to the facility.
  • Monitor clients for hygiene and medical needs.
  • Uphold therapeutic boundaries and adhere to the staff code of ethics.
  • Evaluate clients' behavioral and emotional needs, providing constructive input.
  • Distribute client snacks as needed.
  • Train new staff on unit procedures, program expectations, and milieu management.
  • Assist with the upkeep and cleanliness of the facility.
  • Help clients in obtaining a sponsor for their recovery journey.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Experience in drug and alcohol or mental health preferred.
  • Experience facilitating process groups and family sessions is a plus.
