Job Title:Behavioral Health Technician I

Key Responsibilities:
• Provide direct oversight and support to clients/patients, ensuring their safety and well-being throughout daily activities.
•Monitorvital signs and health indicators,determiningwhen toescalate tomedicalinterventionas necessary.
•Facilitategroup education and structured activities, promoting engagement and recovery skills among clients/patients.
• Document and report any exceptional behaviors or areas of concern related to clients/patients.
•Assistclients/patients with personal care needs, including grooming, bathing, and dressing whenrequired
•Maintainaccuraterecords of medication administration andmonitorself-administration of medications by clients.
•Participateas an active member of the treatment team, helping toidentifyclients’ strengths and needs.
• Ensure compliance with all policies and procedures, including medication storage and documentation protocols.
• Provide transportation for clients/patients to appointments as needed.
• Attend staff meetings and training sessions as requested by supervisors.

Education, Experience, and/or Credential Qualifications:
• High School education or equivalent and two (2) years of responsible employment.
• Experience in Human Services or a related field is preferred.
• For St. Louis County Programs: Bachelor’s Degree, or MAADC I or II.
• For Residential Care Facility (RCF): Become credentialed as a Level 1 Med Aid (LIMA) and be Insulin Certified within the first ninety (90) days in position.

Additional Qualifications:
• Successful completion of background checks, including criminal record, driving record, and abuse/neglect checks.
• Current driver’s license, acceptable driving record, and current auto insurance.
• First Aid and CPR certification within three (3) months of beginning employment.
• Completion of mandatorytrainingwithin the requiredtime frame
• Must be at least twenty-one (21) years of age tooperatea company-owned vehicle.

Physical Requirements:
Sedentary work: Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of forcefrequentlyto lift, carry, push, or pull, or otherwise move objects, including the human body.

Repetitive movements of hands, fingers, and arms for typing and/or writing during work shifts.Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing arerequiredonly occasionally, and all other sedentary criteria are met.
