Job Description

Position Title: Behavioral Health Technician
Department: Behavioral Health Services
Location: Riley Hospital, Indianapolis, IN
Shift: Full-Time

The Behavioral Health Technician provides basic care and oversees the safety and security of patients under the supervision of the professional behavioral health team. This role involves making trained observations, reporting findings to the mental health team, participating in group therapy sessions, and assisting with patient admissions, transfers, and discharges. The technician may also perform basic triage duties as assigned.

Key Responsibilities:
Provide basic patient care and ensure safety and security of patients.
Make trained observations and report findings to the mental health team or designated staff.
Attend and actively participate in group therapy sessions.
Assist with admitting, transferring, and discharging patients as assigned.
Perform basic triage duties when required.

Qualifications & Requirements:
High School Diploma or GED required.
Associates Degree preferred.
Requires 1-3 years of relevant healthcare or mental health experience.
Basic computer skills required.
