This opportunity is suited to an experienced behavioral health nurse with at least two years of experience as an Assistant Nurse Manager, Charge Nurse, or Nurse Manager. Candidates do not need to have held a Nurse Manager title if they meet the stated behavioral health leadership requirement.

Role Overview

Anticipated responsibilities include

• Support daily behavioral health nursing operations and patient care coordination.
• Guide nursing staff in maintaining a safe, therapeutic environment.
• Collaborate with providers and the interdisciplinary team on patient care needs.
• Support staff development, communication, and accountability.
• Promote appropriate crisis intervention and de-escalation practices.
• Monitor documentation, care delivery, and adherence to department procedures.
• Help identify and address clinical and operational concerns.

Required Qualifications

• Associate degree in nursing.
• At least two years of behavioral health experience in an Assistant Nurse Manager, Charge Nurse, or Nurse Manager role.
• Active, unencumbered Florida RN license or an applicable multistate RN license permitting practice in Florida.
• Basic Life Support certification within 30 days of employment.
• Nonviolent Crisis Intervention training within 30 days of employment.
• Completion of the required fingerprinting process.
