
The Behavioral Health Program Manager leads the development, implementation, coordination, and continuous improvement of behavioral health programs and department operations. This role combines program management, operational support, reporting, project coordination, and direct administrative oversight to improve patient access, quality of care, service-line performance, and provider satisfaction. The position works with internal leaders and external stakeholders to develop workflows, policies, procedures, metrics, and reporting tools that support behavioral health service delivery.
Essential Functions
-Supports the day-to-day operations of behavioral health services; including planning, reporting, projects, and administrative coordination.-Develops, implements, and refines systems, workflows, procedures, forms, and operating standards for behavioral health programs.-Analyzes clinical, operational, and performance data to identify trends, gaps, and opportunities for improvement.-Tracks and reports on key metrics related to access, quality, patient experience, provider productivity, capacity, and continuity of care.-Develops and implements of new programs, initiatives, policies, software, and process improvements.-Collaborates with clinical, operational, and senior leadership to coordinate projects, communicates updates, and supports decision-making.-Prepares agendas, reports, presentations, correspondence, workflows, and other departmental materials.-Facilitates meetings, follows up on action items, and represents the department at assigned meetings.-Provides operational support for behavioral health scheduling, outreach, patient follow-up, and administrative patient-related processes as needed.-Evaluates and ensures compliance with organizational policies, regulatory standards, and accreditation requirements.-Provides guidance, training, and subject matter expertise to team members on operational processes, tools, and program requirements.-Assists in the recruiting and onboarding process for behavioral health providers.-Provides supervision, training, evaluation, and functional oversight to designated team members or coordinators as assigned.-Performs other duties as assigned. MINIMUM EDUCATION: Bachelor's Degree (higher degree accepted) in behavioral health, healthcare administration, public health, business administration, or a related field.
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:
-3 years in healthcare, clinical operations, program management, or administrative experience; preferrably in a behavioral health or mental health setting
-1 year of experience with Electronic Medical Records (EMR/EHR) and healthcare data systems
