As a Blackbird Behavioral Health Department Manager, you will provide leadership for a behavioral health team while also delivering excellent clinical care to your own caseload of patients. You will supervise therapists to ensure quality standards are met, and support staff development through training and ongoing education. You'll support clinicians in achieving productivity goals, facilitate PTO coordination, resolve patient and family questions, collaborate with HR on staff development, and work with leadership on building exceptional teams while cultivating strong relationships with local pediatric practices for referrals.

The unique Blackbird Health assessment begins with a thorough evaluation that takes into account all factors contributing to a young person’s mental health and development—including speech and language, genetics, behavior, cognition, psychology, and more. We apply a developmental lens to every aspect of our evaluation, recognizing that mental health concerns must be understood within the context of a child’s developmental stage. This leads to more complete diagnoses and understanding of causes. Together with the family, we then create a treatment plan aligned with their goals. Once the plan is agreed upon, we match each child with the right provider and sequence care to build effectively over time.
Ongoing care is at the heart of what we do. We stay closely connected with families through regular check-ins to monitor progress and make adjustments as needed, ensuring continuous growth.
