Highlights:
The Behavioral Health Clinician shall plan and implement therapy services. The Clinician shall function as part of the interdisciplinary team and is responsible for assessments, group, individual and family therapy, case management, and other therapeutic services. This individual is also responsible to provide collaborative discharge planning services with patients and their families to promote adequate and timely discharge plans. In addition, the Clinician may assume primary therapist responsibilities as directed by the Physician. The Clinician may also serve as a preceptor to Behavioral Health interns. This position may have additional duties assigned that are within scope of the role.
Education / Experience
Master’s degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, Marriage and Family Therapy or closely related field required. Prior experience with psychiatry, behavioral health, and knowledge of case management is preferred.
License / Certification
Active Alabama LMSW or ALC required, BLS required, additional certifications (Secure, ACLS, PALS, etc.) may be required depending upon area assigned
