Job Description

  • Provides agency-wide direct clinical supervision, case consultation, training and program support to behavioral health team members, clinical staff, and student interns.
  • Provides clinical leadership and expertise, guiding staff in providing high-quality, evidence-based care, assessment/treatment planning, advocacy, crisis intervention and referral/linkage services.
  • In collaboration with the Director of Behavioral Health, responsible for the overall performance, implementation, and structure of the SGA behavioral health programs.
  • Develop, collaborate, and maintain relationships to enhance behavioral health services and supports with program partners and funders.
  • Ensure clinical consultation and support are provided to programs, staff, and families during times of crisis; responds to critical incidents.
  • Work with the Director of Behavioral Health to establish agency-wide capacity for rendering, documenting and billing for Medicaid behavioral health services.
  • Develop and implement reports, presentations, and advertising for programs.
  • Collaborate with respective funders, grants management team, evaluations team, operations team and other partners.
  • Develop program policies, service delivery plans and ongoing monitoring of program quality.
  • Provide supervision to ensure program implementation reflects the respective funder’s philosophy and curriculum; promote and support staff training and professional development based on program requirements.
  • Ensure compliance with client documentation, reports, and agency compliance with standards established by monitoring agencies.
  • Ensure all confidential information is protected.
  • Participate in on-going training and staff development provided by funders, program managers, consultants, workshops and conferences.
  • Contribute to the Agency’s efforts related to prevention and integrated service delivery with other community providers.
  • Represent behavioral health programs at Department and Partner meetings.
  • Attend and participate in meetings for clinical, managerial, and/or full staff
  • Complete other duties as assigned.

Requirements

Credentialing and Education:

  • Master’s degree in Social Work, Counseling or related field.
  • LCSW required
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) strongly preferred

Experience:

  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience supervision/administration.
  • Experience providing clinical services with youth and families, crisis intervention, and trauma-informed interventions.

  • Sensitivity to cultural diversity is required. Ability to communicate and cooperate with diverse families, various professionals and community groups.
  • Must demonstrate leadership abilities and utilize reflective supervision.
  • Exercises discretion and independent judgment in executing tasks.
  • Competent in fiscal management, report writing, and monitoring database reports such as ETO.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Must be able to remain stationary 50% of the time.
  • Must be able to frequently move inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.
  • Must be able to transport oneself to and from sites.
  • Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine, and computer printer.
  • Occasionally ascends/descends stairs.
  • At times may be required to lift up to 25 lbs.
